Rasel has over 22 years of experience in the public and energy sector including the Alberta Energy Regulator. His background focused on business strategy and public policy and regulatory development in water resources engineering, operational and organizational effectiveness, and complex stakeholder engagement in both the oil & gas industry and public sectors. His work has influenced provincial and federal legislation and contributed to the development of technology for global municipal and industrial sectors. He has served on multiple Boards and advisory panels to address complex governance issues including the development of guidance documents. Rasel looks forward to working with the ABEAC community to raise its profile in Alberta.

Sharif Abdur Rahman, M.Sc.

Sharif is an Electrical Engineer with 9 years of experience working in different fields (Power and Automation, Telecommunications, DSP & RF, and Lighting) in the Asia Pacific region and Canada. From planning and designing to successful execution i.e. installation, commissioning etc. of different projects have enriched his experiences both as a project engineer and project manager. Sharif has been involved in various community activities since his undergrad in Bangladesh and continued to do so after coming to Canada. Sharif envisions to widen the reach of ABEAC and help fellow Bangladeshi Engineers.
