Work Schedule : CAN – Mon-Thurs 8.75 hours, Fri- 4 hours, 5 days on, 2 off Company : Murphy Oil Company Ltd CA Division : Onshore Operations Worksite : Calgary Location : Calgary, Alberta Role Responsibilities This role is responsible for the evaluating asset reliability risks in around production losses, apply technical skills to improve practices and procedures towards asset integrity, and eliminate failures. The incumbent will work in a team environment to improve performance and strengthen integrity programs for the assets. Qualifications •Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution •Valid APEGA designation membership •8-12 years’ working in the Oil and Gas industry with 4 years in reliability, experience with integrity, operations, and/or maintenance is an asset •Certified Maintenance and/or Reliability Professional, Certified ISI in Alberta and current certification in API 510 and 570 is considered an asset •Knowledgeable in CSA Z662, ASME B31.3, CSA Z767, API RP 754 •Proficient user of Microsoft Office, SAP and SAP Plant Maintenance module •Experienced using Spotfire, Canary, CygNet, and ValNav •Strong background in asset integrity, operations, and understanding the E&P life cycle •Excellent communication, team-work, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced work environment while managing priorities and meeting deadlines •Strategic and results orientated, decisive, self-motivated with excellent attention to detail •Good presentation skills •Willingness to share information across asset teams and mentor junior technical staff Primary Responsibilities •Work as part of Asset Integrity to understand current risks and collaborate on areas for optimization and extension of remaining life •Acquires and analyzes data to conduct reliability studies, evaluate alternatives, and generate corrective actions which can be taken to improve asset performance •Implement metrics to monitor reliability risk over time and employ limits for action •Evaluate opportunities to increase equipment uptime and reduce operating expenses •Work closely with Operations to perform analyses of assets while considering production profiles and equipment effectiveness •Conduct root cause failure analyses and communicate findings with corrective actions to Operations teams •Prepare project economics to execute corrective actions identified and understand the advantages or disadvantages depending on business priorities including implementation of Management of Change when required •Provide technical framework to assist Project and Operations Engineering team members in initial designs to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new equipment and assets •Prepare reports and presentations for management on findings and improvement initiatives •Network with area producers to stay informed of industry best practices and new technologies Working Conditions •Monthly business trips to meet Operations and Maintenance •This position works 8.75 hours per day from Monday through Thursday and 4 hours on Friday •This position is deemed as a Safety Sensitive position, pre-employment testing and a background check is required Murphy Oil Company is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
